Today marks a very special moment in the LAYR55 journey.
We are incredibly proud to announce that we are supplying the Welsh Athletics team selected for the 2026 Commonwealth Games with personalised 3D-printed foam rollers.
As a young Welsh company, it is a huge honour that the first elite sports team we have the privilege of working with is Team Wales.
Every foam roller has been individually personalised for each athlete and features the inscription:
Team Wales, Commonwealth Games 2026
For our Technical Director and designer, Owain Lloyd Hughes, the project has particular significance. As a former Great Britain junior international and current Wales senior international athlete himself, he understands the dedication, commitment and sacrifice required to compete on the international stage.
Reflecting on the partnership, Owain said:
Designing these rollers has always been about creating something that athletes genuinely enjoy using. To now see them being used by Team Wales athletes at the Commonwealth Games is something I’m incredibly proud of. Representing Wales has always meant a great deal to me, so being able to support the team in this way is a real privilege. We wish every athlete the very best of luck in Glasgow.
